more about sarah
Sarah recently graduated from Hope College where she studied Psychology and Ministry with a Social Witness concentration. During her time at Hope, her passion for travel and international missions sparked. She participated in multiple language immersion trips furthering her desire to share God's love to the world. During her senior year, she was not simply participating in these trips, she worked as the Student Integral Missions Assistant where she helped plan multiple outgoing short term trips, including to Texas, Florida, and Jamaica.
In her studies and work, she found purpose reaching the underserved and overlooked, and expanding her views of the Global Church. She interned with Just One in the summer of 2023 and was able to visit Honduras for the first time. Since then, she has loved going back to Just One building deeper community. Her love for language immersion hasn't changed. Each time she travels to Honduras, she opts to stay with a host family to practice her Spanish!
Outside of Just One, Sarah loves working with children and spends her extra time nannying and volunteering at her local church.
"I love Just One’s holistic approach to building up their community with Christ at the center. It is so empowering to see young scholars who are motivated to give back to their community."
Sarah's first sip of coffee ever was in Honduras at Just Cafe! Now she loves coffee with semitas.
