Lesman stepped through the doors of Just One in 2022 as a shy, introverted kid with a dream that education could change his future. Throughout the years he has blossomed into a compassionate leader that is a dependable influence at Just One. He graduated from high school in 2023 and continued in our programs as a Next Steps scholar, studying architecture at Jose Cecilio del Valle University. He loves the creativity this career path provides. He takes his studies seriously, while still finding time to serve consistently at Just One.  

At Just One he learned to foster his talents by participating in student band, helping lead volunteer projects for younger students, and becoming a trusted assistant for Mauricio. He describes Just One as the place that gave him confidence. The opportunities provided and the people in his corner forever changed him. 

Lesman's family knows the value of education. He is following in the footsteps of his older sisters, who both graduated from college. Lesman attends Just One with his younger brother, Jorge, who is also a scholar. His baby brother is starting Kindergarten next year.
